This group is designed for women who are experiencing 

unexpected and challenging emotions during pregnancy and 

throughout the first year postpartum (babies are welcome)

  • Experience validation of feelings associated with stress, depression, anxiety and role/identity transition

  • Receive emotional support as you recover from pregnancy, birth and the newborn phase

  • Learn coping skills, relaxation techniques, communication skills

  • Adjust to the "new norm" of motherhood surrounded by others in a warm, non-judgmental environment

  • Learn more about risk factors, symptoms, and treatment of postpartum stress/mood disorder

Learn healthy ways to manage the stresses of pregnancy and new motherhood while connecting with other moms. Beyond the Bump is facilitated by Gilbert therapist Kim Kriesel, LAC, PMH-C who specializes maternal mental health and the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
